Fully Beaded Sioux Tie Sinew Sewn OldThis is a turn of the century c. 1890 fulyl beaded tie with rawhide insert till in tact. The beda colors are all 19th century beads and the entire piece is sewn with sinew on native tanned hide. The tie measrues 12 inches by 2 1/2 inches. The design elements are sioux and are masterfully done. The main reds are the older dark red with white centers, along with dk. Blue and white. At the top is a translucent rose, clear beads with light colored centers. The designs are just stunning and in perfect proportion to the piece. These were used in dancing ceremonies as well as formal dress, but i have not seen one this age or in this excellent condition. Guaranteed as described. There is no reserve for the piece.
