Vintage Indian Beaded Floral Envelope Change PurseUp for auction is a lovely and beautifully crafted little rawhide envelope completely covered in seed beads, created by a skilled native american artist from the southwest. This gorgeous envelope features a beaded design of pink and amber flowers one on the front and a different design of two-tone blue beads with green leaves on the reverse, with a background of opaque white beads. Notice the beautifully executed patterns and hwo tiny the beads are. The beads aren't glued down, but painstakingly stitched right to the little purse. It has a snap closure. tI displays beautifully! The little envelope is quite small and probably was intended for a change purse, measuring 3½ x 2½ when ti is closed. This beautifully crafted vintage beaded item is in nice shape for its age, although there are several spots that are missing beads. However, there are no large bare areas as so many of these old beaded items have. The leather is in perfect shape and the nsap is still attached and still keeps the little envelope closed. See photos, as they give an accurate picture of the item's condition. A very nice native american handicraft which would make a great piece for display very attractive and skillfully crafted beadwork!
